"I am a Beesbury." She said, emotionless. "And yes the Iron Islands interest me. Only the truest of men live there. Hardened seafarers and terrific fighters. Do you have a castle on Pyke?" She asked, almost innocently. "If true men are harsh and unforgiving. If true men would rip a babe from it's mother's arms and then have their way with the mother. If true men see pursuits of the mind as a weakness. If all these things are characteristics of true men, then the Ironborn are most assuredly the truest of them all." "I have no keep on Pyke, nor any lands to my name, and I am mostly unwelcomed by the men of the Islands."

Francis raised his eyebrow. "Well, you know Lady Anne's brother Ser Roland was rather protective of her as well, before the wedding. I think my brother-in-law and I have found a friendship. But if you'd like another crack at him Ser Steffan, I'm sure it could be arranged. No sense having bad blood you know. Better to get that all out in the open." Francis smiled.

Nathilda's eye's practically swam with lust. "Yes. Those are the real men. Not the foppish types of the South, nor the boring nobles in King's Landing." Hearing his second statement, she frowned. "Oh. Well, you are of considerable merit among your tribe, are you not?"

Haley enters the dance. She is wearing Tyrell Green dress with the Standard of Tallahar and hers as a cloak.
She quickly takes a seat.

"Thank you for the invitation Lord Varner," Sybil Florent says with a smile, "but my son Steffan is not much of a fighter. . . but he has a keen skill for numbers."
"Lord Varner, Lady Varner, Mother. . . Please excuse me I need another drink." Ser Steffan says leaving to get another ale.

Lady Anne Varner pats her husband's hand, and than gets up to sit next to Haley.
"Lady Tyrell, I'm glad you were able to come." She says pleasantly by way of greeting.

"Well the next Lord Florent will likely need a talent for the numbers won't he?" Said Francis, managing to avoid cracking a smile. "And how does young Dacey fair? I was under the impression that there was to be a wedding? I hadn't followed closely. A Highgarden merchant wasn't it?"

Haley nods at Lady Anne, "I am sorry me and Tallahar could not come to your wedding but we had to sort a few things out in the Reach."

"Oh. Well, you are of considerable merit among your tribe, are you not?" Lucas looks around for Lilith Royce, wondering if he can get a new dance partner. "Err, I am brother to Lord Harlaw, lord of the Iron Islands, which gives me some standing among most men, but not those of the Islands. I did not grow up on the Islands, nor can I sail a ship, and for that I am outcast."

"Nothing escapes your watchful eye, does it Lord Varner," she says playfully touching Francis's arm. "Dacey is well, although she is a little strong willed, she give's me constant heartache." Mother Florent looks at her daughter with the evil eye.
Dacey smiles sweetly from behind her mother, she is young and appears a bit nervous.
"Yes, well we decided that a better husband could be found for Dacey, hopefully one with land and coin."

"Oh I understand completely. After that terrible ordeal I'm sure you were inclined to put a distance between yourselves and King's Landing. I can't say I blame you, but you were missed." Anne says with a smile. "Is Lord Tyrell feeling better? I didn't see the incident because I was tending to Francis who took a nasty blow to the head straight away."
edit: grammar.

"Oh land AND coin," Said Francis. "well let me take a look at her, perhaps one of Lord Justin's bannermen are in need of a good wife." Francis waved Dacey forward with his hand.

Her eyes lit even brighter. "Ah, so you were so uncouth that even the Ironmen cast you aside." She moved close to him, her body pressing obscenely against his. "I could grow to like a man .... like that."

"We didn't care for the others thought." Haley has steel in her voice, "Yes my Auroch of a Husband is doing better he will live or thats what Lilith says but he will be very weak."
