Leyton's face is pure joy when he realizes he's gotten his first convert of the voyage. He places a hand on Velarios' head and tells him, "It is not me you must ask for forgiveness, but the gods. Go to the sept in the city; it is not far from here. There, pray to the gods. Ask them to forgive your sins. If you truly desire it, they shall be merciful." He pulls the Braavosi to his feet, "Go, hurry! Your very soul is in peril!"

Velarios nods excitedly and jumps up, twirling around to run off to the sept. Before he gets off the ship though, he falls dramatically to the ground and gribs his ankle. "Ah, my ankle! A man fears he has twisted it! There can be no going to the sept, pray the Seven will forgive a man from here, else he is doomed! Dooooooomed!"

Leyton is a bit suspicious at the man's theatrics, but his hope wins out over his suspicion. He helps Velarios stand up, and leads him to a seat atop a crate on the deck. "It is all right. For the pious man, all the world is a sept. But you must make some show of penitence. A week of fasting would likely be enough to save your soul from torment, one day devoted to each of the mighty Gods and Goddesses."

Velarios' eyes go wide, then he rubs his ankle and sucks in air. "I am thinking my ankle is not so bad, maybe I will be visiting the sept afterall, glory to the Seven for their kindness..." He walks off, his face looks visible annoyed when he's turned away from Leyton.

Leyton nods at Velarios' decision, and sits down when the Braavosi leaves. He pulls out a small block of wood and a knife, and begins to whittle a tiny statue, the first of seven that will keep the ship safe on their voyage.

Edmure laughed, "I fear I have taken the straight and narrow path. Callen has me making an expedition across the sea to find a faster route to Qarth and Asshai."

Edmure laughed again. "You make a trip half way around the world sound so casual. By all means friend, come aboard. Think of the sights we'll see!"

"Think of the women." replied Farrio with a wolfish grin on his face.

Albert looked around, then finding nothing interesting to do, he decided to clean the fish dangling from the line.

Edmure walked up the gangplank onto the deck and took his place at the helm. "Cast off the lines! Full sails!" The men worked hard, and soon the three ships were sailing into the sinking sun in the west.

"At the moment we're heading south-west. There's a little island far outside any costal maps of Westeros, and there's numerous stories attached to it. Some say that the remanents of a long lost line of Gardners is there, others say it's the Casterlys, still plotting their revenge Lann the Clever, who cheated them. More recently (and by recently I mean in the last eight hundred some years) the rumour is that because the island is so far out, Aegon, the first one, couldn't decide if its people were sworn to the Reach, or to the Lannister's, and so he gave it to a cousin of his, and nobody's heard of his line since. Nobody's been there for hundreds of years now, but we do know is this: There's an island on which we can take on fresh water, there's a castle, how big we don't know."
