The small group proceeds, three of the larger men carrying satchels on their backs to contain the large containers they'd been given.
As they proceed through the streets, Sain gets an unnerving feeling that he is being watched. Yet scan the crowd as he might, he does not see anyone out of the ordinary.

Sain nervously flexed his hand.
"Pick up the pace!" he told the men. Suddenly an idea came to him and he looked around for an empty alley.

There is an alley off to Sain's left. It's narrow and shaded.

Sain tells his men to enter the alley quickly. Once out of sight he has them hide and wait for any followers.

The men enter the alley and wait. They continue to wait yet no one seems to enter the alley.

Sain sighs. "A man can never be too careful." he turned and went out the other end of the alley and began to make his ay back towards the Quill and Tankard with his men in tow.

Eventually the men reach the bridge across the bay that leads to the Quill and Tankard. This is a choke point. They must cross it to reach the tavern.
There is a bustling crowd moving across the bridge.

(I thought I had five men? Oh well, rolling with three) "Stay to the edge of the bridge in a straight line." he commanded his men. "I'll take the rear, don't lose each other."

(OOC: I think Stranger means that the three men with boxes are still there.)

OOC: yes. Five men, three boxes. IC: the men hurriedly move along the edge of the bridge staying single file to move swiftly with Sain bringing up the rear. When they reach near the middle of the bridge there is a commotion up ahead an all traffic has come to a halt.

Sain swore. "You two get up there and see what's happening!" he shouted to the two men without boxes.
