Donal approaches the chained up Captain Helga and removes the gag from her mouth. "Captain." He says grabbing her by the shoulders and shaking lightly. "It seems that we have a slight problem on hand." He says starting to explain when he realizes that they had set the ship on fire. Turning to the nearest guard Donal snaps, "Give me your sword." When the guard gives it to him he motions for everyone to step back and grabbing the sword swings it at the chains binding her in an attempt to break the chains and free her.

"Fuck..." Said Yohn moving back, towards the locked hatch. He was started to get tense, he needed to try something. The Black Stag started to try and thump the hatch as hard as he could. There was some give, but it did not open at his first blow.

Like a character out of legend he hacks through the chains in two swings. Helga stands, and then almost falls. Her arm reached out and grabbed Donal. She supported herself on him, and growled low in her throat, "That man is dead. A thousand ways dead." He tall, strong form was still very feminine, but her voice sounded like death with a sore throat.

Donal can't help but grin at her attitude, "I agree, but first we need to get off of your ship. It seems that he has set it afire and has nailed the hatch down. Do you know of any other way to get to the top deck?" He asks her hurriedly.

"There are three hatches, and a large one above the bay." She replied and said, "I am sure he nailed those downs, but...." She shrugged. She held on to him tighter.

Donal turns to Aemon and a guard as he helps support Helga, "Try and find these other hatches and see if they are nailed down." He states as the two rush off, He aids Helga out of the room with all of her dead crew members and watches Yohn continue to try and get the first hatch open. He turns back to Helga. "But what Captain?" He says urging her to continue talking.

"I did not say it because it was bleak, and I want to fight." She raised a hand to her head, "Was that message for you?"

The men break up and search, the other two hatches are also sealed. The large hatch over the cargo hold does not seem to be nailed, but it is fifteen feet over the ground floor, and quite large and heavy.

Donal swears colorfully, and on the off chance has them search for anything they could use to make a pile that they could climb to get it open before he turns back to Helga. "Right now the best way to fight is to get out of here alive, no matter how bleak the options are." Donal states.

There were five crates. If some one stood on two then he could reach the hatch.

Donal uses four of the crates piled two high on two of the corners of the hatch, having Aemon help support the injured Captain, he and another guard climb up on the two crates and see if they can lift it.

When their hands touch the hatch they can feel the heat. They lift together, and can see the deck all around them. It is alight in flames.

Donal scans the top deck to see if anyone was still hanging out as well as if there was a clear route through the flames for everyone to get off of the burning ship.

He could see no one on deck, only the deck. It was covered in flames. And it flowed everywhere. There was no clear path to the sea.

Donal signals to the guard and they let down the hatch and climb back to the others, "I do not think we are going that way unless we want to get roasted." He states turning to the Captain, "I think its time for the bleak way out now if you don't mind." He says with a hint of an edge on his voice.
