The Royce festivities are held in the inner courtyard of the Bronzehouse. Tables of food and drink are set aside, with dark meats and heavy ales being the staple of the menu. Fools sing, dance and joke and musicians play sweet melodies to the enjoyment of the guests. Above all this the main entertainment of the Royce party are the armored and armed Knights of the Vale, who duel one another in mock combat. Located in the center of the courtyard, enough space is set apart for them to prevent guests from harm whilst still allowing full view of the spectacle.
Ser Donnel Royce, the host of the party watches on eagerly as his knights display their martial prowess, clearly enjoying his own entertainment.

Having grown up with the Royces, Izzy was determined that she should go. So she dragged her eldest brother along with her. This time she wore a green dress with a bronze chain in homage to her hosts. Gwayne, who wasn't particularly acquainted with any of the Royces, was clothed in black breeches and a blue doublet. He applauded the combatants with clear enthusiasm as Izzy called merrily to their host "Ser Donnel! May I introduce you to my brother, Lord Hightower?"

"Isabel. It is good to see you after all these years. I see time has treated you very well." Donnel replied politely. He kissed her on each cheek before extending his hand to her brother. "A pleasure to meet you Lord Hightower. I trust this evenings entertainments are to both your liking." He raised his half-empty tankard. "Wine and ale makes it even better." He added.

"Indeed it does," said Gwayne as he shook the offered hand. "I hope you will forgive my sister's formality and call me Gwayne. I'm pleased to see that every event I've attended has been different so far. I am particularly fond of martial games such as those you have included."
Izzy nodded. "A clever idea indeed. And you are looking rather well yourself, Donnel."

Donnel bowed courteously at the compliment. "Thank-you my lady. I had thought the other parties somewhat lacking to my tastes." Smiling, he raised his tankard in the direction of the two knights currently engaged in battle. "I think I may have found the answer." He motioned at a nearby servant, who offered both Hightowers a drink. "I hear you shall be holding a tournament instead. Perhaps I've been bested in that regard."

"Perhaps, though it may make us look somewhat tardy," Gwayne remarked as he took a drink. "I only hope Her Grace and the royal household will honour us with their presence. Indeed, I hope to see many knights from houses great and small taking part. I fear it will either be a wild success or a miserable failure.
"Surely not that," said Izzy. She put a gentle hand on Donnel's arm. "Please say you will come. I'd love to see you compete in the lists. Lord Bayard and the rest of your kin would be very welcome too. It would be like old times."

Donnel's eyes glanced quickly at Isabel's touch but otherwise he did not move. "I can make no guarantees. My father is unwell and Damian longs to spend much deserved time with his family."

"Of course. That is quite understandable. When you next go home, or send a raven, will you give your father my best wishes? I could write myself, of course, though I fear your father may think me frivolous if I write to no other purpose than to wish him well," Izzy sighed.
Gwayne, raising an eyebrow, said "I would be honoured to receive any members of House Royce at the Hightower. If Lord Bayard is not well, he can be assured of the best of attentions and a room on a lower floor of the castle."

Donnel's eyes glanced quickly at Isabel's touch but otherwise he did not move. "I can make no guarantees. My father is unwell and Damian longs to spend much deserved time with his family." Knowing that there would be festivities and parties at each house, Melyssa decided to find out who the Royce was at the Garden Manse. Dressed in a Lavender gown with lace sleeves, her dark hair was pulled up to reveal her face and lilac eyes and dark skinned Dornish appearances. The guests were few in number, she figured that she must have arrived early. She noticed him talking to members of the Hightowers house and a young lady touching his arm. Melyssa sighed and then looked for a servant or at least something eat.

Jennalynn walked into the courtyard, dressed in a bronze silk gown with gold and black trimmings and black lace at the end of the sleeves and around the neck. She walked over to where Donnel stood talking to the Hightowers.
She curtsied to Gwayne, giving him a lingering look and smile, before greeting both her cousin and Isabel. She motioned for Mylessa to join the group.

Melyssa noticed the girl she had seen at the other party and smiled. As she glided over to the three of them. Melyssa smiled at her,"I wanted to apologize for that night at the Garden Manse. I wanted you to rescue me from the Lannister but the Tully lord seemed to have captured you before we had a chance to meet." Giggling lightly, she then met eyes with the Royce knight she had been staring at most of the event.
"I am Melyssa Dayne",she smiled with a small curtsy when she addressed all of them. "From Dorne and I am pleased to make your acquaintance."

Jennalynn smiled toward Melyssa as she was told that her company had been wanted at the Tyrell feast the other night.
"Then I hope that we'll have more time to talk this evening, Lady Melyssa" she said with another smile. "Unless my cousin needs my aid with important business concerning this feast. He has planned the whole thing himself and from what I can see he has done a splendid job."

"It is very nice", she smiled. "I have not been very fortunate in finding other ladies to talk to.. Except Nymeria Lannister"., she frowned slightly. "If you need help I would notmind aiding you with things."
Tasting her wine,"If not to just avoid the boredom of not knowing anyone. It should be fun." Melyssa then smiled,"and is he you're cousin", she asked after the knight. "He is very handsome,"she whispered to Jennalyn.

Jennalynn smiled toward Melyssa and took a sip from her sweetened wine herself, making sure that she didn't drink too much as she was the hostess of the evening.
"That is nonsense, you are our guest and should enjoy yourself. Not run around making sure that the servants to what they have been ordered to or any other kind of business that might need my attendance." she said with a smile, and placed her hand upon Melyssa's arm as she spoke. "Take this opportunity to get to know some of the guests here, I am sure that there'll be someone for you to get to know. Hopefully I will not be too busy and we'll have the time to get to know each other."

Even if for the moment, Melyssa was happy to have atleast one new friend that seemed like someone she could hang around with instead of.... The other. She nodded with a nervous smile,"Alright, but come find me, if you need me. I do know how it is to deal with servants at parties."
