"I will request right for final say in the matter of his bride's choosing, but she must be Dornish else this agreement will come to naught." he replied. "We gain the security of an additional keep on the border and they gain blood ties to the Baratheons with a Stormland lord that does not regard them with contempt. That is the only way to a peace that will last generations."

"Your gardens are lovely." Oswyn said with a sly smile as they re-joined the Martells. "Have you given thought to the offer?"

Lyssandra looked like she was speaking to Evan as the others made their way back into the hall. "Yes, I have discussed it with my brother. I believe it is best to discuss some finer points such as when your son would begin his fostering and so on. This does not all have to be agreed upon tonight. In fact my brother advises me that we should take some time to make certain all points of a deal are agreed upon and that we are both satisfied."

"Theodore is six at the moment. I believe two or three years would be adequate to ensure he is old enough to take on the duties of a page." Oswyn suggested, taking his seat again. "I would request he take a companion along, either a Caron or Dondarrion to foster alongside, as well as a sworn shield. What of your concerns?"

"The most obvious for us is instructing Vulture's Roost to change loyalty to your house. While I agree that young Theodore should be a little older, my concern is that you will receive lands but we will still only have your word that you will be peaceful and provide your son in several years time."

"Then let us sign the transfer of the keep in the Stepstones now to seal the agreement and commence the shift of the Stormland borders to encompass Vulture's Roost when Theodore is old enough." Oswyn offered. "I am sure it will take time to make those preparations."

"That is reasonable. I propose that until the transfer is completed and until Theodore is being fostered in Sunspear that we recieve a tax from the Keep that we do hand over. As a sign of good faith, a portion of Vulture Roost's taxes that is sent to House Martell will instead go to House Baratheon."

"That is a sound stipulation." Oswyn agreed. "I think we are well on the path to friendship."

"Good, we can discuss further details in the coming days and perhaps after the coronation. We will have to finalize the arrangements before I depart for Sunspear."

"Of course, I will have my maester begin compiling the necessary documents." he replied. "Unless there is anything else you wish to discuss, I will see you then."

"We will discuss more later, I think we have bored your wife with our negotiations." She looked over at Evan, "Maybe even my brother as well. The matter of the taxes will need to be discussed further I think, but beyond that I think we have a good framework for a reciprical deal." Lyssandra looked at Amelia, then Oswyn, "Thank you both for coming and I am sorry if the food was too spicy. That is all the servants cook really."

Evan who was content with letting his sister control the negotiations, sat finishing his meal as the Baratheons departed and returned. He drank his wine and nodded to her suggestions, pleased with the outcome of the dinner which he had feared at one point was going to boil over with the exchange between Lyssa and The Lord. "Yes, I also wish to thank you two for coming", he smiled. "It is good to see that we can atleast be one accord on the beginning steps of this venture to seal a peace between us."

/// Days later, Ser Oswyn returned to the Martell Manse. This time, rather than his wife, he was accompanied by Rupert Kellington. The bookish young man, who served as the Stormland's and now as the assistant to the Master of Ships, carried rolls of blank parchment and ink pots with him.
Oswyn's retinue makes his presence known, announcing his new title.

Lyssandra met Oswyn in the greeting area. She looked over the bookish man with all his parchments, "Not as grand a gift as I was expecting" Lyssandra said with some amusement.

"Were you expecting a gift from me, my lady?" Oswyn asked, bemused. "I am sorry to disappoint."
