"Of course, where are my manners. My name is Edric Stark," he said, even though it did not look as if he was particularly concerned about his manners of lack of them.

"Nymeria Lannister," She answered, briefly eying him up to see what she was dealing with. "Stark... hm. My brother is going to the North; to Winterfell."

Edric groaned internally, wondering how he always managed to land on Lannisters. They were like the Freys nowadays; numerous and regular-looking. Lannisters were known for their golden hair and emerald green eyes, but Edric had only encountered one or two that fit the description. One of them had been a very girly boy, he recalled.
"Well met. It seems that every other person I meet in this town is a Lannister. Big family?" he asked, and smiled quickly. "You must mean Damon. There to woo my sister, I assume."

"Oh?" Nymeria asked, looking a little confused. "So far as I know the only Lannisters in the city are my father, sister Teirney and myself. Maybe my uncle Tynian too." She pouted. "Among the many denizens of this city that is a mighty small number; or are you simply very good at exaggerating?"

"Ah, you should know then that it is only my second time in the city and my encounters here have been brief. I met a few Lannisters here about ten years back, I believe they might have been your aunts and uncles," he finished off his ale and smirked. "Very good at exaggerating or perhaps I am somehow drawn to you people?"

"I would find it hard to think of many people who are not drawn to us; especially to me," Nymeria answered, having a servant refill her watered wine.
"So, ten years ago you were how old? This is the first time in the city for me and I already find myself bored." She gave a yawn to accentuate the point.

Edric bit back a 'about your age' and remembered his own attention span back in the day. "I must have been thirteen or so," he replied kindly. "Either I am boring you or you just have not found anything to do in the city yet."

"Hmm, I wonder which of the two it could be," Nymeria replied, though her smile wasn't as mean as it could have been. "But if you know of any exciting things to do I would love to hear them."

"Sure I do. Now exciting things to do in this city is a different matter altogether." He thought for a while. "Perhaps the Dragonpit. Or.. what is left of it, anyhow."

"The Dragonpit?" Nymeria asked, sounding vaguely interested. "I understand it is in disrepair; not the safest place to escort a lady to, no? I would of course insists that my servants and guards come with us."

"Hmm." At least now he knew what condition it was in. "It was not bad at all when I visited it with my foster brother all those years ago. If you want safe, then perhaps the Great Sept?" he offered, although he could not have cared less about a Sept. Still, it was supposedly a sight to see and he had never been there.

"Oh no, safe is the opposite of what I want," Nymeria answered with a wink. "Although I can understand if you would prefer to act a knight and take me to some boring place like the Sept."
The barb in reference to his being a Northman was entirely intentional.

"Dragonpit it is, then," said Edric, the extremely witty remark completely lost on him. "I do not really remember saying I would escort you," he said, looking at her numerous servants and wondering how she had managed to jump from a suggestion to an actual plan of strolling through the city with her menagerie while dragging him along. "Unless that is what you want?"

"The first boy who has the courage to come and speak to me and he has a mind for exaggerations and doesn't know when he is subtly implying things!" Nymeria complained out loud. "I mean, how do they talk to ladies in the North?"

Edric chuckled a little at the girl's outburst. "Not subtly, that's for sure. If you want me to take you, all you have to do is ask," he said with a grin, guessing that it was probably the hardest thing he could ask of a Lannister.
