Lord Aurane arrived, wearing a set of golden half plate, his sword Pride at his hip. Back in his tent lay five scantily dressed concubines from the Free Cities, though any thought of them was left behind.
Aurane rode up to Eirek and gave the man a respectful nod. "Lord Stark, ever the honour being beside an able commander."

Eirek, afoot, returned the nod. "Lord Lannister." He was armored much more plainly than Aurane - plate and mail that had clearly seen plenty of use, with a greatsword nearly as long as he was tall strapped to his back. "Gods forbid it, but should you fall, the battle will surely be placed on hold while every man that can steals a piece of your armor."

Edric was standing next to his brother and snickered at his remark. Much like Eirek, he wore plain plate and mail, the only evidence of his house being the running direwolf on his shield. Havoc looked at the Lannister Lord with something akin to indifference.

"That was the plan; sacrifice myself to cause some chaos," Aurane answered with a chuckle. He looked up at the sky and frowned, before settling his green eyes on the keep in the distance. "Lord Eirek... perhaps you have a moment to discuss a thought I had? Nothing too private."

"Of course."

Aurane nodded towards a young man ahorse with some Lannister knights, his skin almost Dornish in colour, his hair and eyes dark. He wore golden and elaborate armour, looking uncomfortable about the fact that he would draw eyes. And yet he looked comfortable ahorse.
"My son, Ser Damon, newly knighted," Lord Lannister stated. "I am looking to find him a wife."

"And you're thinking of my sister, I imagine?" Eirek thought for a moment. "I am not entirely inclined to send Elyssa off to a man she does not know, who does not even worship our Gods."

"It wouldn't be a marriage straight away," Aurane said, shaking his head. "I am aware of my... reputation and I know that..." He struggled for a moment. "My marriage isn't healthy and I wouldn't want the same for my son." He paused. "And unofficial betrothal. Let them meet and get to know each other. If they take a liking, so be it, if not then that is fine. As for the Old Gods... I cannot help you there."

"I'll hear her opinion first. If Damon would care to visit Winterfell to meet her after the war, he will be welcomed. I'll make no promises beyond that."

"That is good enough for me," Aurane said, taking the reins in his hand. "Know that my son is not the man that I am, nor will he ever be." It could have sounded like an awful statement, though when referred to the lord's terrible ways with women it was a blessing. "I shall see you after the battle."

"Indeed."
Eirek turned to Edric. "Do you think Elyssa would approve?"

Edric smirked a little, his eyes still on the castle. "The Lannister lord just promised his son will not be the man-whore he is," he said, unconvinced. "Elyssa will be thrilled."

"She does dream of a Southern lord for a husband." He rolled his eyes at the idea. "But I'd prefer her nearby. Maybe a Reed would be a decent enough compromise." He barked out a laugh. "Though I can't see her enjoying life in the Neck very much."

Edric seemed thoughtful for a while before turning to his brother. "Our mother is a Reed," he deadpanned. "So unless you want her to give birth to actual lizards, I'd say probably not the best match."

Eirek laughed at that. "That is true. An impending battle works wonders with one's memory. One of the mountain clans, then. I think The Wull has some sons of the right age."
