Robert grinned toward his cousin as her father, his uncle, announced that Lillian were to marry the lord of House Stark, joining their houses and blood through marriage.

Eirek's eyes widened - he had hoped to propose something similar. Words were slow in coming to him. "I...That is...Yes. Yes, of course, it would be an honor and a pleasure to wed your daughter."
He glanced nervously toward Lillian, unsure what, if anything, to say to her.

"Excellent," Bayard smiles, unconcerned with the reticence between his daughter and her betrothed. "Then I propose a toast. To Stark and Royce." He raises his glass.

Eirek raises his glass as well. "Stark and Royce, and the Old Gods."

Lillian's own wide eyes caught Lord Eirek's and the girl quickly looked into her lap with a blush, trying to conceal a coy smile behind her hand. She was embarrassed that her father had offered her hand before her, but her lord father often had a direct way about him. Lillian had to admit it was an excellent match, for both her and her house, and she found Lord Stark a handsome and bold man, if in a rough, untamed northern sort of way. Her gaze rose again to meet Eriek's, hand dropping to reveal her unbidden smile.
"How excellent!" Ser Damian exclaims, throwing an arm around Lord Stark and clasping his shoulder with a grin. "I shall look forward to having you as my goodbrother, Lord Eirek. Houses Stark and Royce shall share a bond for years to come."

"Likewise, Damian. The only question is when we will have the ceremony. Certainly before this war begins, whenever that might be."

"Now that his Grace has made his intentions clear, he will not want to wait long. Sooner is likely better. I imagine you would prefer the wedding to be at Winterfell?" Bayard asks. "If you must return to raise your banners, a ceremony could be just the thing to raise the fighting men's spirits."

"A fine thought. And we would be happy to welcome any of you that wish to attend in Winterfell."
