"My brothers are all older than me, too. But Edric is only a little older, so sometimes he will play with me. I have a sister, too, but she isn't a Stark, not really." Elyssa shrugged. "They're around somewhere."
As she finished speaking, she was shocked and delighted to have her hand kissed. Nine years old and not very pretty, Elyssa was thrilled by courtly displays. "H-how do you do, ser?" She managed a proper curtsey this time.

Meryn smiles,"I am doing great, out on the town as Rodrick has mentioned. The sights, the smells, I love it all." He turned to his cousin,"Rodrick is a bit up tight but if you catch him in the right mood he can be a little fun." Without Aemon around to keep him in line, Meryn was in rare form.

"Hardly think that is true," Rodrick grumbled. "This city smells like a Horse Stable...."

Elyssa giggled. "Me too! I've never been to King's Landing before!" She drew her hand out of her pocket, careful not to jangle the coins in there. "You should find us lemoncakes and apple tarts! Bethany and I are friends now." She looked at him slyly through her long lashes, one of the few pretty touches on her face.

A direwolf pup of approximately five months ran up to Elyssa and wagged his tail before happily biting down on her skirts to drag her back where she'd come from. Soon after, Edric approached from the crowd, looking annoyed.
"I thought we agreed you would not run off," he told her, and looked at the strangers.

Bethany looked down at the boy. "Hello there my lord Stark." She mumbled curtsying herself.
Rodrick nodded to the boy. "Hello there, you must be another Stark." He assumed after his daughter said the name.

Elyssa yelped with joy and leaned down to pet the puppy. "Stop that!" she scolded as he bit her skirts. "You're getting it so slobbery!" She looked around for her brother, who was just behind the dog, as he usually was. "Edric, these are the Tullys!" She shot Bethany what was meant to be a meaningful glance. She didn't say a thing about having wandered off.

Meryn petted and scratched the wolf,"Holy hell, this thing will be huge!" He turned to Edric,"Where do you get these and how long before I can have one?"

The small wolf did not, however, let just anyone pet it. Instead, he attempted to snap at Meryn's hand.
"Indeed," said Edric, figuring he had to introduce himself now that his sister had dragged him into this unfortunate situation. "My name is Edric. I am not the lord; my brother is," he added to the Tully girl and looked at the boy, trying to keep a straight face. "But you are a Tully. Perhaps a trout would be more appropriate?"

Bethany sighed and looked down. "Sorry ser...." She swallowed her words. "Master Edric....forgive me." She recalled there were no knights in the north.

He pulled his hand away from the wild animal and frowned at it,"Maybe a trout would be better, but then I couldn't carry it around." He thought for a second,"I guess I will have to get a river otter or an eagle."

Elyssa giggled and patted the wolf pup. "But if you can't get a puppy to let you pet him, how would you get an eagle not to peck your eyes out?"

Meryn rolled his eyes,"The eagle would respect me for my greatness and brilliant antics. He would want to join in on my adventures, and how hard would it to go on adventures with my eyes gone."

Post by Lord Oswyn Baratheon on Sept 11, 2013 14:19:41 GMT -5
Ser Oswyn Baratheon walked the streets, looking with disdain at the cobblestones where he had been beaten bloody a decade ago and ignoring the occasional peasant that recalled his triumph in the joust or generous donation to the smallfolk of Flea Bottom. He was flanked by a contigent of Baratheon guardsmen, each man a veteran of the campaign to gain a foothold in the Stepstones. At his side was his bastard brother Donal Storm, his constant shadow and closest confidant. As he passed the tavern in which he had been assaulted, the two crooked fingers on his right hand rested on the flanged mace on his belt, eyes narrowing at the memory.

Elyssa's mouth fell open. Being extremely young and gullible, she wanted to believe him. "Will you have many adventures, Ser Meryn?"
She could not miss, however, the entourage of Baratheon men, with the handsome Ser Oswyn at their fore. Her tiny prepubescent heart skipped a beat. "Look at them!" she sighed. True knights, all of them, resplendent in their finery and with real weapons at their hips...
