"Riverrun was the same as you saw it last, save a few improvements thought up by myself. But the land is still green and full of trees and the rivers still flow." He smiles. "I do enjoy hosting my neighbors, and would be most glad if you and your family stopped by." He said. "I am glad to see the rock to be in such great hands in the future." He nods. OOC: Aurane has not been to Riverrun. "Perhaps I shall have to visit, with my wife," He replied. "Though there are certain responsibilities awaiting me back at home. My father is the lord and yet he relies on us to assist him." Aurane nodded. He nods. "I understand, perhaps a small detour on your way home? However if your lords need for you is great I understand." OOC: My bad I just assumed.

"These are trying times for all." replied the knight tactfully, as if the death of the king somehow warranted such behavior. "My lord father is somewhere about, I am sure." Oswyn continued, honestly afraid his sire had become bored of the even and found a whorehouse already. "How fairs the Far Reach?" "The Far Reach fares well." replied Lothar with a smile. "Peaceful and prosperous. I aim to keep it that way. Perhaps you should visit one day Ser Oswyn, and see the Oldtown for yourself. My family will make you and any of your other relatives that wish to accompany you most welcome. The Starry Sept and the Hightower are sights to see. And of course the city is stunningly beautiful. It lacks the.... how shall I say it the.....squalor... of King's Landing."

"Is there any city that matches the squalor of the capital? Oswyn inquired, with a low chuckle. "I would be honored to accept your hospitality, when matters of state are settled of course."

"Ah yes. Matters of state." replied the Lord of Oldtown with a wry, somewhat tired smile. "The great dance that we all indulge in. Why is that Ser Oswyn? Power? Prestige? Or maybe it is just a simple desire to keep one's people safe."

'Legacy." the Baratheon replied simply, without hesitation. "The knowledge that we left our house and realm in a stronger position than we came into it, assuring its existence for the next generation."

Lothar nodded approvingly at the young Baratheon's words. He had little fondness for the woolly thinking of most younger men, but perhaps this man might prove different to most.
"Wise words, young man." he said. "I think a visit to the Citadel in Oldtown would be to your liking and indeed benefit. A man needs knowledge and wits, as well as brawn if he is to strengthen his House. There is no better place than the Citadel to develop the first two."

"If my brawn sees me through the war, then you have my word that I will visit Oldtown to sharpen my wits." Oswyn replied genially. "I cannot offer the same from Storms End, but if you feel the need for a worthy hunt there are no lands that can match the bounty of the Stormlands."

"I thank you for the invitation." replied Lothar. "My sons and nephews would be most interested I am sure. Gareth in particular would like to see Storms End in particular. He has a curiosity for knowing how things are built and I am sure the construction of Storms End would be fascinating for him. Takes after his uncle I am sure of it."
