Ser Lorren Hightower arrives the day following the joust, wearing a dark doublet adorned with a large replication of Hightower coat of arms upon it's chest. He scans his surroundings, face as passive as ever.

A servant approaches him, "How may I be of service ser." "I am Ser Lorren Hightower. I have come to pay the ransom I owe the Lord Commander for unhorsing me in the joust." Ser Lorren replied, in a flat tone. "If he is not preoccupied I would prefer to do so in person."

"He is in the small sept." The servant replied, "you may attend him in there if you wish."

"He is in the small sept." The servant replied, "you may attend him in there if you wish." Ser Lorren answered by nodding in acknowledgement and silently proceeded to the Sept, glancing about slowly as he made his way to it.

Rickon was sitting in prayer before the Father's statue. Ser Lorren stood at the back of the sept, silently watching the Lord Commander pray. He may no noise, and scarcely moved, emulating the stone incarnations of the gods that were spread around the sept. The corners of his mouth turned down ever so slightly as his thoughts drifted to the last time he had visited a sept; the day of his marriage some two years prior.

Stark stood after several moments, and saw Hightower. He bowed his head and approached the other man. Ser Lorren bowed his head in respect as the Lord Commander approached him. "I have come to pay the ransom I owe you, Ser." Ser Lorren said, in order to justify his presence. "You rode exceptionally." He added by way of compliment. "Had Ser Oswyn not competed I am confident you would have won the day."

Stark smiled lightly, "He rode well. Until he won the event I was quite disappointed, but he has proven himself today."

Stark smiled lightly, "He rode well. Until he won the event I was quite disappointed, but he has proven himself today." "Indeed. And I can find some solace in that I fell to a knight only unhorsed by the victor." Ser Lorren's visage hinted at the beginnings of a smile, but it did not extend to his eyes, which under scrutiny revealed disappointment. "But I am sure you have more pressing matters to attend to than making small talk with a man as unimportant as myself. I will pay you the ransom you deem appropriate and allow you to continue the prayers that I have interrupted."

"There is no cause for a ransom. I have no need of coin. Just make a gift to sept." Rickon replied.

"There is no cause for a ransom. I have no need of coin. Just make a gift to sept." Rickon replied. Lorren did not dispute Stark's request, simply nodding in acceptance. "Do you know where I can locate the Septon, in order to make my donation?" He inquired.

"I maintain this sept. It does not matter to me which sept you choose. Just find one and make the gift." Rickon replied.
