There was a battle on the sea where like three or four of the combatants were armed with Valaryan Steel. They were burned alive by dragon fire, and the steel sank. Also on those ships were dragon eggs. They were lit aflame while hundreds died around them, and then immediately drown. You know that they say about drowned things.

I hate to add to this because I'm not really a VS sword collector type and also because I am sad that this might help Horas - but my original character Aranya had Dark Sister, which Brynden Royce inherited. So unless something happened after I left that changed Dark Sister's ownership, I guess the Royces still have it? Edit: Actually, at the time of Aranya's death, she was married to Cedric Lannister. Tallahar was Master of Laws and Cedric Lannister and Brynden Royce were fighting over Dark Sister. I don't know what the outcome of that was. But I think Brynden got it. Brynden did get it, but it was taken by the Crown when Brynden Royce was arrested and burned alive by one of the Targaryen sisters for no reason other than that she thought she could make a dragon by sacrificing him. Then, the one who was Queen, had the audacity to demand that I (who played Brynden's son) come to King's Landing "to talk" and flatly refused my request for safe-conduct. They stole the sword though, and it's been in the KL treasury ever since, until the Ironborn stole it and got sunk. |

Hey Sammael, any idea what happened to Vickon Harlaw, who was lord of the Iron Islands before Ragnor Greyjoy? The list thread says he was killed for treason. He's the only Ironborn lord who's story I'm not sure of. Though I think I remember something about the maesters having him in a cage.
