Finn doubted that was true, "Very good. I just came to ask Lord Garnet whether the hunt was off along with the tourney? I suppose the lions get a reprieve, while we hunt other predators."

The King's head rose, "We were going to hunt a lion?" He smiled and slowly stood.
Garnet, and Hugh both cast a dark glance at Finn, before looking at each other silently. Then Garnet shrugged.
Hugh sighed, and said, "Yes your grace as soon as we are ready."

Garnet said, "That can be arranged. Finn was to run your hunt." He looked down to Finn.

Hugh and Garnet looked daggers at Finn. Hugh's back straightened, and his fists clenched.
The King's cheeks turned red, "You are mistaken. It is the King who says when his schedule is free. We will leave as soon as I have gathered my gear." He did not look at Garnet or Hugh before he walked from the chamber.

Hugh growled at Garnet, "This is your fault. Letting some boy in here." He roared in anger the second the door was closed. He turned and took several angry steps at Finn.
Finn was surprised when Mox moved between him and the angry Morrigan. "He is mine. So is the fault."
Hugh stopped, and growled at Mox. His face was red with anger, but his eyes locked onto Mox's.
Garnet said, "Not infront of the boy." He looked over at Finn as he walked to the table, "I will not be going on this hunt. But I will send a hundred men. That enough Hugh?"
Hugh said, "Make it two." He stared at Mox.
Mox replied coldly, "What about the search."
"The King must be secured." Hugh replied.
Mox then after a long moment of silence, nodded.
Garnet said to Finn, "Hugh is in charge, but gather up some of the children. Joss if you can find him, and Michael and Anthony. Any of the others you think worth bringing. Your girl if you wish. Do you understand?"
