"I found it very interesting that when you listed the people with backbones yesterday and you did not list yourself." Mox said, and turned back to his desk.

Finn smiled, "One does not typically inform on one's self milord," he replied. "I assumed if you wanted to know if I had backbone, you'd have other ears and eyes report to you on that."

"There are no eyes or ears in a man's chest." Mox said. "If you can not ask I have no use for you."

"I spoke with Maester Lymon about serving in King's Landing. It seems your Lord brother means to take me with him, but I think my talents lie in your office. I'd like to serve you, and receive training, so I can be all that my family used to be..., but... better."

Mox turned back to look at him. "Now you get to sit there and not know while I think." He studied the Varner lad, "How many languages do you speak?"

"I understand Braavosi, and speak it, but with a slight accent. I can understand the language of Lys and Volantis, if its spoken fairly slowly. I can read High Valyrian, but I don't have an ear for it yet, and don't speak it well," Finn said.

"Have you ever seduced a woman?" Mox eyed the Finn boy, and then added, "Or man?"

"A woman, Once." Finn said, "No men."

Mox asked, "Do you believe that shit about not asking questions you do not know the answers too?"

"Some times," Finn said, "I don't like going into a conversation blind without knowing what to expect. But I ask a lot of questions, most of them I don't know shit about." he replied, letting the profanity roll off his tongue, since it seemed Mox wanted to speak like adults, and not like adult and child.

Mox said, "Then there is only one question left. Are you clever enough to know it?"

Finn thought for a moment, "I think most people would expect you to ask a question about their loyalty, but I don't think that is it," Finn said. "I'm not sure what it is I'm afraid."

"Not loyalty exactly... but close. You serve me... that means you serve me." Mox said, "Where do you draw the line?"

"I can't see harming a child," Finn replied, "or needlessly harming an innocent woman. I mean, some women choose to get caught up in treason and espionage, and a spy is a spy, but you know what I mean... like someone's wife or daughter that doesn't know anything just to get to them."

Mox nodded, "I will think on your application." He looked back to his book, "Tell me of the Tyrell girl."
