"No can do. Firstly, you're not one of our contractors. So if one of our combat surgeons treated you, that would expose the company to liabilities. You could try the Camp hospital, and their ER staff," he shuddered visibly, "but that leads to the second issue, which is that you'll never pass the security screening with that..." he gestured at the arm, "Implant. I know military-grade combat warez when I see 'em. Whatever that is, there's no way it flies."

Malcolm considered the information for a moment before responding.
"And if I was one of your contractors?" he asked. "Your superiors would be hard pressed to find a more impressive service record than mine."

He shook his head, "I don't think so mate." He replied, "We're not hiring."

"First outfit I've met that would turn an experienced hand away." Malcolm replied with a grunt. "Does the hospital have no way to temporarily disable my hardware? I can't be the only aug to ever need medical attention."

OOC: sorry missed this one.
IC: "Look pal, I don't know you," the man replied, "All I know is you showed up on my doorstep bleeding, and loaded for bear. Don't be pissed at me that I'm not swooning over you like a fat girl on Prom Night."
He frowned and then added,
"Look. I ain't supposed to do this, so if you say anything I'll deny it, but there's a guy on 1st street that's a surgeon. Did some augs for a friend of mine, and he's good with doing medical for the enhanced. That's the best I can do. Good luck."

"Thanks for the information." Malcolm replied, not holding the situation against the sergeant. Corporate work might pay more than the government did, but it came with a lot more strings attached. He headed for 1st street, praying it was the last trek he'd have to make in his current condition.
