"Yes and then I invited her to have dinner with Mark and myself. We have been introducing Dornish dishes to her," Isolde confided. She acquitted herself well, didn't you, Helyn? Better than some non-Dornish I've seen. I was wondering...Summer, is it true that you northerners eat eel pie? I've always wanted to try it."

"Lamprey pie. and lots of people eat it, not just Northerners," Summer replied.

"Oh, I have never had it," said Isolde, feeling slightly foolish now. "I heard it was quite hte delicacy at White Harbor. I...have an invitation for you, Summer, if you are interested. Helyn and I are sadly lacking n female friends and I had so hoped to meet more ladies of the Court. Would you like to come to an evening of wine and fun? You can bring any other friends you have, of course. The more the better."
She smiled warmly, including Helyn in the smile too. Mark, having already heard about this plan, stood quietly and pretended to be studying a tapestry on the nearby wall.

"First impressions are so important," Wyman said neutrally, his face the mildest of frowns. "have you been in court long?" Lady Alanna shook her head, having a apologetic look upon her face. "Oh no, I am sorry if I offended you, Lord Wyman. I have only met a handful of men from the North, and I would say that you are no more barbarians than some of the men here in King's Landing." she said and gave them a smile. "I've been to court a couple of years now, though it's just recently as a woman of my own, and not the wife of my husband."

Wyman raised his eyebrow, "Your husband passed?" He asked Fossoway.
Summer chuckled, "They've lampreys at White Harbour I suppose, but I don't recall it being anything special. Curious how these strange rumors start. And I would be pleased to join you."

"Oh goo! I'm so pleased we have someone else to come."
Isolde was beaming with genuine happiness. Seeing that Mark had wandered off to study the tapestry, she grew bold.
"You said the man that attacked Mark said he insulted the man's sister. Is that true? Who is she? Do you know her?"

Summer shrugged, "I don't know if it as an insult, so much as he thought Mark was being overly friendly. But I don't recall the man's sigil, it was too scary a time to focus on things like that."

"Oh gods prserve us!"
Once Isolde had got over the shock, her expression became more focused.
"Was Mark flirting with this girl?"

Summer raised her eyebrow, "Surely that's not my place to say milady, I'd not want to get in between a wife and her husband. I'm just saying that's why the other fellow hit him, cause the drunken ass thought he was."

Helyn put a comforting hand on Isolde's arm. 'I'm sure it is nothing dear, it was probably just an innocent comment.'

"Oh, I hope so," Isolde murmured. "People tend to take Mark the wrong way. I don't know if either of you know what Dorne is really like, but our princess is very...licentious. I knew what it was like even when I was a child because I grew up there, so I saw it first hand. GhostHill is not so far from Sunspear, and Mark has picked up some of the Court ways, even though he spent most of his youth atGhost Hill itself. We Dornish are fairly f re with our ways compared to you Andals and First Men. I try to be less so, myself, but we have a different set of beliefs in Dorne. What Mark thinks is innocent fun may not seem so now we are in Kigns Landing."

Summer's eyebrow was so arched it had the appearance of a Dothraki Arakh, but she nodded, "Yes milady, I'm sure that's true. Simple misunderstanding turned bloody by the booze. It happens everyday."

"Oh, I'm sure it does. But I had hoped Mark wouldn't get involved. I knew he went out drinking when he's not with me, but I'll wager he didn't take account of who was present in the tavern at the time. He;'s not a large man, as you may have noticed."

Summer shrugged, "Poor fellow. Oh well, fortunately he was not slain that would have been a tragedy."

She had the feeling Summer didn't care one way or the other but she was too well bred to admit it.
"Oh, indeed it would. That's the sort of thing that causes family feuds, I believe. I#m so pleased Mark is recovering well. But enough of that, I shouldn't have asked. I was curious, that's all. It was good of your father to suggest you befriend Helyn, truly."
