Viea sailed her ship to Blacktyde to spend some time with her friend Nute Blacktyde.
She waited in a tavern for him to show, silently playing with her long hair.

He appeared after a while, a tall rangy man with black hair tied behind his head, though she knew it fell past his shoulder blades when loose. He wore salt-stained leathers and carried several axes in his belt, and a long axe on his back.
"Girly!" He called, striding over to her. "What you been up to?"

Viea smiled.
"Will you ever stop calling me that?" She asked. "I am not a child anymore."
She stopped playing with her hair and started to mutter to herself, her eyes glazed a little. "But you are you silly girl. Stop pretending."
She came back, her expression focused again. "How have you been Nute? You have been away too long."

He frowned as he looked at her, but then, after a moment he spoke up. "Aye, been to Braavos and Tyrosh, some other places too. It's a bloody long time since I came home. Got me some good look and a nice little salt wife. Wench was a priestess of some god or over. Now she prays to me to release her, but I never will." He grinned. "Miss me?"

Viea grinned but shook her head.
"Who would be mad enough to miss you?" She asked, getting a drink for them both. "Where is your girl from? No doubt somewhere far enough away that she would never have thought herself lucky enough."
Her hands tightened a little on her mug as she muttered something to herself again, below his hearing.

He gave her a weird look as he answered "Girl's from Braavos. They've lots of false gods there. I had the priest bless her with seawater, of oourse. Barkeep, bring me ale!" He stretched his long arms out in front of him. "So what have you been doing, girly?"

"I went to Sothoryos." She said and her eyes glittered. "It is beautiful there Nute."
She went silent for a long time, as if she forgot what they were speaking- about.
"The fool you are got hurt there didnt you?" She said in a slightly different voice. "A fool that took on too much."

He gave her a very strange look.
"What are you talking about? Are you drunk already?"

"Why would you ask that?" She answered, still not sounding herself. "Maybe you are drunk."
She stopped and put her hands to her head.
"We went to Gogossos." She said. "Further then Saeron ever has."

"Bloody ong way," he said. "I'm stone cold sober, girly. Not had a drink yet."
The servant came over and handed him a tankard. He slapped her bum and then turned back to Viea. "So what's next for you?"

"I want to go past Asshai." She said. "I want to go past the known worlds."
'And will die there too.' Her hands tightened their grip.
"I will go further then anyone has been before."
'We will find a place that the drowned god cannot reach to accept us to the halls.'

He was looking at her as if she truly were drunk. He sighed and shook his head. "Girly, are you sure you're alright? You're being strange."

'Dont call me that.' She said darkly, giving him a glare with all her normal warmth gone.
Then the moment passed once again. "I am fine, why shouldnt I be?" She asked looking genuinely perplexed.

"You are saying strange things. The girl I grew up with wasn't like that. Dark mutterings and so forth. Is something troubling you?"
